I created this January calendar layout for my first Calendar Class in 2016 at Scrappin Great Deals. This will be my seventh year to teach a group of ladies how to complete an album over the year which showcases their annual events. By the end of the year, the group will have 12 double page layouts. I try to make each layout relevant to what the month would be like. Our January this year did not have a lot of snow but hopefully the ladies in my group did capture some photos during a snow-related event.
I love this line from Simple Stories called “Snow Patrol”. You will find by looking at some of my past layouts, that I like plaid, stripes and polka dots. I did some fussy cutting (the snowmen, the journal spot, and the Winter Rules card). I love these written words by Tim Holtz and used his Holiday Script 2 and Calendar Words in the layout.
I also coloured some Chipboard Snowflakes from Maya Road and added some Crystal Lacquer to make the snowflakes shine. A bit of ribbon and some enamel dots from Carta Bella’s “Christmas Wonderland” collection completed the layout.
