I live in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. I retired from teaching about 13 years ago. Shortly before retiring, I created a Scrapbook for our 25th wedding anniversary. At the time there weren't a lot of resources in the scrapbooking industry so I bought a lot of kits from Michael's and started in this hobby, which now enhances my life.
I currently work a few hours each week for Scrappin Great Deals, a wonderful scrapbooking store located in Komoka, Ontario. I also teach a few classes each month in the store.
This blog is to show you some of the designs that I create. My style is clean and my focus is on the photo(s). I love paper and lean towards papers from Simple Stories, Bo Bunny, Carta Bella, and Echo Park.
Anything vintage is also a favourite of mine and I try to create one layout a month that can be used for old photos. For a few years now, I have been interested in tracing my family roots and have travelled to England to research my genealogy. This September, I will travel to England for the third time to traipse around old churches and gravesites.
For several years now, I have taught a calendar class each month. The goal is to create one layout a month to record family events. At the end of the year, each student has 12 layouts, which can encompass a year's worth of family memories.
I hope that you can find some inspiration from my layouts.
